I'm a charcoal and pencil artist and have been creating art since my earliest childhood memories. It's my favourite way to spend my days. I am now a part-time artist, exploring how my work can connect with people. My faith has an influence on my work, and most of my pieces have some kind of biblical theme thread through. For commissions the subjects can be hugely varied, as it's my modern, yet classic style that underpins each piece. My abstract paintings are primarily about releasing and reflecting what’s inside through the vehicle of colour and movement, whilst in awe of the Divine Creator. It starts with a spontaneous movement, followed by a searching for the beauty, rhythm and intricate details that lies within. A process that allows for many happy accidents filled with grace. Working mainly with acrylic paint, I employ both traditional and innovative painting techniques.
